LAByrinth Theater Company focuses on developing and producing new work.  We accept solicited and unsolicited scripts—see further info below—but please note: We are only interested in working on full length plays that HAVE NOT already been produced or accepted for production by another theater (with the exception of plays that may have had workshop productions or readings that have not been reviewed).

If your play is a commission from another theater, or has an upcoming production please DO NOT send us the script.

If you have questions, please contact literary@LABtheater.org.

Solicited Scripts

Solicited scripts are scripts submitted through a literary agent or manager or upon the recommendation of a member of LAByrinth Theater Company.

Please submit 2 copies of your full script, single sided and unbound. Binder clips are fine.

We read all scripts anonymously, so please make sure that your name and the title of your play are on the cover page only.

DO NOT send SASE envelopes as we do not return scripts. Also, please do not send DVDs, VHS tapes or CDs (unless you're submitting a musical).

And again - if your play has been produced, reviewed or is a commission from another theater please do not submit it for consideration. Thanks!

Unsolicited Scripts

Please submit a cover letter, brief synopsis, your resume, and TEN PAGES of sample dialogue during the months of August thru November (any sample that comes in after November will be put in our files for the following year)

DO NOT send SAS envelopes, as we do not return samples.
Also, please do not send DVDs, VHS tapes or CDs.

Response time for unsolicited samples is 8-12 months. Due to the volume of submissions received, LAByrinth is not able to offer feedback or return samples.

Submissions will only be accepted via U.S. Mail.  All submissions should be sent to:
