How do you capture the spirit of the West? That was a question Associate Scenic Designer Michael Leon was faced with when it came to creating the panoramic backdrop for The Way West. We asked Michael to walk us through the process. Check out his answer below. According to Michael, "The backdrop designed for The Way West was inspired by American western frontier paintings, specifically the collection in The West of the Imagination by William H. Goetzmann."
